Why Use An Open Top Container?
An Open-Top container is similar in structure to a standardized container and is available in the usual measurements of 20ft or 40ft. The reinforced steel walls ensure stability, which is additionally increased by the roof brace. The wooden floor is durable and resilient.
The advantages of an Open-Top unit lie in the better and more flexible handling when loading wares. In contrast to the standard unit, an Open-Top container is open at the top. A tarp provides protection against weathering, theft or the goods from falling out.
The brace of the roof as well as the tarp can be completely removed during loading. The upper door crossmember can be swung out. Therefore, the loading of bulk items can be carried out from above via crane or trolley.
Open-Top containers in special dimensions expand your possibilities. For example, the design as a high cube is especially well suited for transporting goods at low overheads.
It should be noted that the roof braces increase the stability of the container and should therefore be reused for transport. As an alternative, a flatrack can be considered with a very high unit capacity.
